Naturally living near the coast, I was drawn to the colours of our more “moody” coastline, natural hues of stones, and greys and dull blues, I wanted to create a lovely scheme that was both willowy and calm and clean using doves and greys and adding drama with some stronger tones, I literally carried a mussel shell I found on the beach and worked from the blue green black tones for the colour Storm Blue which I love.  We have lots of colours coming out in our Seagulls range we can use these colours for other prints, spots, stripes, dots and mini hares. We use both our cream linen for the paler tones and for the stronger colours our natural linen union.  This week’s shoot was shot by the lovely Sarah Gardner …… enjoy x
