Inspired by fragments of 18th-century lace, Dahlia captures their exquisite detail and time-worn imperfections, translating these historic forms into a hand-painted design. The original lace shapes the finished piece, rooting it in the past while feeling entirely at home in the present. Painted dots are scattered throughout, bringing a playful rhythm and a distinctly contemporary note. Developed by hand over many hours, Dahlia was carefully refined across multiple colourways before being printed onto our luxurious, textured paper. Its tactile surface gives the wallpaper an authentic painted-paper feel, echoing the original artwork.
